How much do I love this? So much that I’m going to try to swing by to see it this afternoon, at the Davie Community Garden at Davie St. and Burrard St. downtown.

More about Howie Woo‘s awesome on the Crochet Me blog.

Yarn wrap NON LIVING THINGS ONLY!

Yarn Bombing is UNHEALTHY for trees!!

Most yarn being used is ACRYLIC, which is PLASTIC, is NOT biodegradable & gives pests a safe cover from birds looking for food a place to hide while they bore into the tree, weakening it.

PLEASE, Yarn wrap NON LIVING THINGS ONLY!

are there examples (pictures) where such damage had occurred. I am new to all of this but was just wondering. I have not encountered any natural items wrapped in Yarn Bombing so it mos tlikely is not happening on a big scale.
