On Tuesday our good friends welcomed the most adorable infant into this world and on hearing the news an hour after she was born, my ovaries hijacked my body and made me crochet a tiny blanket.

I am not kidding.

I had the day off. I planned to do a hundred loads of laundry, go to the bank, and catch up on blog reading.

Instead, I read a few things and crocheted a tiny blanket.

With my ovaries.

There’s no other explanation for it.

I gave her the blanket this morning. It’s just big enough to cover her wee self, and maybe as she grows up it’ll be a good size for dragging around with her without actually dragging on the ground.

My ovaries are safely back in their place now. I’m sure you were concerned.

I honestly must say that I think reading and crocheting on your day off makes so much more sense than doing laundry and going to the bank. Your ovaries are supersmart.

You know, you make a very good point. :)

Ovaries are freaking dangerous man. You never know where they'll lead.

Kid is cute…I can see how she'd have the blanket effect.

Heidi

You crocheted that in one day? You have some mad crochet skillz, there.

Steph

haha! I love the title.
I think the blanket is beautiful!

I did end up watching the US Pres. debate twice. (Once live and once taped when the man got home from a meeting.) So, you know. There was a lot of couch time. :)

Sometimes the call is too strong… you blank out and a few hours later there's a baby hat waiting to be given away to a tot, with a lot of yarn snippets on the floor and a cramp in one's forearm…

Another riveting blog entry title! Like I tell my 4th grader: “Everybody has special talents. For example Kim and how she titles her blog entries.”

Ha! I can take credit for this one. :)

I agree with annette and am often surprised at what my ovaries make me do. so far i've gotten them to behave themselves overall but ya know.. sometimes, they surprise me.
