Happy 2015!

One of my favourite annual traditions is my neighbour’s New Year’s Eve bagpipe parade down the block at midnight. It’s absurd and wonderful, and another neighbour usually finishes it off with some fireworks. People spill out of their houses and toast the new year, and I just can’t think of a lovelier way to start off a new year.

We had a dozen friends over last night, which was another wonderful way to start off a new year. Especially, as I wrote yesterday, after several months of not being terribly social.

So far, so good, 2015. So far, so good.

I’m so sad I missed this! Bagpipes should be how we all ring in the new year. It just seems so right. That could be my scottish heritage speaking. :) Happy New Year!
