So many little things collecting in my brain, and I haven’t set any of them down here. Time to remedy that! *Rolls in my trusted bulleted list.*
After a decade wondering what it would be like, I was on the radio. Not live radio, but radio all the same. In a studio, with a schmancy microphone. Sheryl MacKay interviewed me about Mighty Ugly for British Columbia CBC’s arts and culture show North by Northwest last weekend. It’s the first segment in the May 8th podcast, which you can download here, or here’s a direct link to the mp3.
Are those green beads lucite? Very cool. I love making jewellery and have amassed quite a collection of beads from here and Europe.
wow, that really was an epic flounce, what with the capitalised “uncontractions” and all. (i think i invented a word there…) good luck with the final steps of the adoption application. i've found your perspective on this process, and on the other parties to this process, to be enlightening and truly respectful. i hope all goes well.
I always enjoy your blog, although i don't always understand it all. I always read it first when I see it in my inbox. I have been a fan of yours for quite awhile, and I think you have made it in several different ways, like Crochet Me, IWCrochet, all the books you have been involved in, etc. It appears to me that you are doing what you love and surviving, right? That alone is making it in my mind. Do you sell you earrings? or just wear them? I have piles of beads and I have trying to figure out what to do with them, make things or sell them as loose beads.
Wow. I've driven away readers before, but never over something as non-controversial as a stance on grammar. Kudos!
And those are very pretty earrings.

Oh, I can't wait to have a reader get mad and stomp off! It's definitely an indication of success. I could do it on purpose … ;) You have arrived!!!
