In January 2014 I took my long-neglected email subscriber list and decided to see if I could form a relationship with the people on it. Over the course of the year that followed – a year that saw the publication of my seventh book, that involved travel across North America, and during which I committed to a daily creative challenge that ended up changing my life – I sent forty-four emails to my subscribers and did, indeed, establish a relationship with them.
