Yup, I totally think of myself as a camp counsellor for grownups. I help people have (more) fun making stuff (doesn’t matter if the stuff is “good” as long as fun was had). I’m a writer, editor, instructor and speaker, and I make something – even something teeny tiny – every day. I write books, and I do a project called Mighty Ugly, through which I help people and groups confront their creative demons so, you guessed it, they can have fun making stuff.
I help people start to do things they've never done before and have more fun making stuff. Kinda like a camp counselor for grown-ups. My latest book, Make It Mighty Ugly: Exercises And Advice For Getting Creative Even When It Ain't Pretty, is in bookstores and libraries everywhere. It's a handbook for vanquishing creative demons so you can go ahead and make stuff – art, craft, whatever! Here's a handy list of other things about me.
