A lot going on there! I share your feelings. It's the reason I do what I do which is advocate for the arts in my home state. We suffer from the "why should you be funded when there are kids dying of (name whatever disease you wish)...it's not a matter of life or death." In my world and in so many others, a lack of creativity and art would be a matter of life or death. So--with my colleagues we keep trudging on reminding people that they make creative decisions as soon as they wake up (and sometimes even in their dreams!). <br>I also agree with the underdog crochet challenge--I've been workin it since college? high school? and right now am just having fun, but the designer in me is getting ready to come out! I get almost kind of angry when I compare crochet and knit patterns and feel the difference in sophistication. I am so happy that new crochet designers are being so bold and adventurous!!! My two cents, but it's really nice to read what I feel inside--you articulate really well, Kim! Wow! A lot going on there! I share your feelings.
