Whatcom Weavers Guild, Here I Come!

November 11, 2009
7:00 pmto9:00 pm

crocheted-gifts-lo-res-thumb.jpgIt seems like ages ago that I was invited to speak at the Whatcom Weavers Guild November meeting, and now the date is fast approaching. If you’re in the Bellingham, WA, area, come to the event! I’ll be talking crochet and will specifically be focusing on the rise of new generations of yarn crafters – something I think weavers can relate to. I won’t talk technical crochet at all (unless folks want me to), and I’m sure I’ll do lots of arm-waving and hope to do lots of question-answering. They’ll have copies of Crocheted Gifts on site, and I’ll be signing copies. Mostly, I’m excited to hang with yarn people for an evening – it’s been a long time!

    Hi Kim!

Thank you for all the lovely patterns in Crocheted Gifts. I've recently completed the Willow Hat - you can check out my blog for piccies! :) http://catherinehirst.wordpress.com/2009/10/29/...
  • Oh, it's lovely! Thank you so much for sharing your link. :)

Hi Kim! Does your new book contain the crochet pattern for those gorgeous pot holders that are posted on Flickr? You mentioned the pattern was on your blog but I can't seem to find it. I love your work!
  • Hi Kate. No, the potholders I posted on the CrochetMe.com blog were simply a
photo I found inspiring. People in the comments over there mentioned a
pattern, but so far nobody's said where it's from.

(There are organic cotton washcloths in Crocheted Gifts, but they're homey
and cozy as opposed to the bright and vibrant potholders.)
