Portland, Oregon has a train to the airport. It opened on September 10, 2001. I remember riding the train to the airport that night, and sitting in the airport drinking a beer thinking about all the places I wanted to go, and then, the next day, 9/11 happened. Sigh.

I can't wait to ride the RAV. I'll be there this week, yay!!

Amsterdam has a train that goes from the airport to Centraal Station.

As for Boston, I remember it being very easy to get from the airport to downtown, even if it wasn't rapid transit. Ease, I think, is just as important as speed sometimes!

I'm not flying into Vancouver when I visit in October (driving from Seattle) but I hope to ride the RAV anyway! I hate NYC's mass transit system but I love ones in other cities!

Sad but true Logan Airport, in Boston does not have that kind of transportation, and you know that they should!

There's definately a rotating exhibit portion:
http://www.straight.com/article-241381/public-a...

(I thought there was a permanent portion too but maybe there isn't.)

Public art will certainly be an improvement. Do you know if it'll be permanent or rotating?
