On 9th July I’m turning 33. Many decades will pass before my Roman and binary age will again both be palindromes.
Also, Handmade Nation will be screening in Vancouver that night, and filmmaker Faythe Levine will be here for her only Canadian appearance!
So, like, what are you doing that night? Perhaps you might consider attending what’s sure to be a wicked event for not only is the film screening complete with Q/A with Faythe, but there will be swag bags for the first 100 tickets sold, there’ll be a craft showcase featuring fourteen local crafters and artists, copies of Handmade Nation (the book) will be available, and Photobooth Vancouver will be set up for wicked fun.
It’s all going down at the Rio Theatre (1660 East Broadway at Commercial Drive), doors at 7:00PM.
Note: Vancouver’s a fun city to visit! I can attest to this film being a fabulous excuse for a weekend trip…
I'm an astigmatic expat writer, editor, speaker, author of crochet books, blogger, crafter and founder of the Mighty Ugly project.
I love talking people into indulging their creativity and I sometimes help authors and crafters promote their work online and have fun while they do it. I write here about creative business, crafts, books, pop culture and generally about ideas that force their way out of my brain. Wanna talk about stuff? Don't hold back.
Happy almost-birthday. I didn't know we're practically the same age! Yeah!
Someone should organize Craftgasm Canada for that weekend.
