I'm so glad you came by!

For my birthday a couple of weeks ago, my friend handed me a big pile
of GPK she'd just dug up and told me I could have the doubles. It was
so awesome and perfect!

hi. i found your blog via the creative life via craft. awesome!

i used to LOVE garbage pail kids! going to have to see where my folks have them stashed. ebay is coming in really handy for tracking down childhood memorabilia that my folks sold at garage sales (with my permission). so glad you were able to get some cards.

i don't remember that contest. it would have been a fun summer activity to come up with names and images. it's summer now...i suppose i could get doodling! i'll put it on my list of things to do.

thanks for the trip down memory lane!

I couldn't bring myself to get rid of my GPK cards when I cleaned my stuff out of my parents' basement a few years ago. ;-)

Eeee! I was a bit too old for Garbage Pail Kids but my little brother had them and used to go nuts about getting more and trading them with his buddies. I think he even had a GPK tshirt!
I obsessively collected E.T. Cards (got the whole set!) and hockey cards/stickers too. It makes me wonder if now as an adult (although I'm more a kid at heart) if there is anything I would so devotedly collect!? Yarn?! :)

not too long ago I posted photos of my and my coworkers plastic charm necklaces along with a GPK card I bought at a flea market b/c it mentioned librarian (my occupation). I recently put my GPK cards in baseball card sleeves for better viewing :)

In the end, it turns out I had the timeline right all along but had managed to remember the date we moved incorrectly. But I'm glad you enjoyed your memories!
