No way I'm going to like this movie if my little girl is going to fall in love with it and replace our special time at night. Boo, hiss, gnarl!, Gnash!.
Please do NOT see this without us. We'll make a special trip out west, or you vice versa. As Mom said, we'll bring a blankey.
Love, Dad

It looks so true to the book. I love that you treasure the book and the memories. I still use it now with students in my college literacy class, and they sigh happily remembering their own connection to it.

Where the Wild Things Are is also a childhood favourite. I still have a copy that I revisit a couple times a year, my friends' children all have copies and I have one of the figures screwed on to my desk. I hope that the adaptation is gentle with my childhood memories.

This looks like a very fun movie. Perhaps we will actually get out to see it in the theaters. :D
