Renting a desk sounds like a truly excellent idea. Hope it helps with the vaccuum issue. I've been working from home too, and it's so hard. The day I called my husband and asked "so which pants did you want washed today?" was the day I realised that I had been using my work time as housewife time. Not good. I refuse to be anyone's housewife!

And finally, happy Kimday for next week!

@Lisa B: I haven't yet met the person who's already working in the office I'll also be using, but she's a writer, so she must be cool. :) There will likely also be a third person joining us. This arrangement is far less expensive than membership in a more formal shared work co-op, and it'll be sort of like my space, so I'll be able to leave stuff there. I'm really excited to see how it goes. (And I'll take a pic. :)

Oh - shared office - that's awesome! I've been reading a lot about cowork spaces where independant self-employed people create kind of a loose community in shared workspaces. Sounds pretty awesome - can't wait to see pics!

Well done on not caving to Rogers, I think it's the right thing to do... because the right thing to do usually involves pain. ;)
