So much for my swank American job.

Help me raise $3000 to support pancreatic cancer research! This damn disease is my family's kryptonite, but our collective superpowers can help thwart its evil blight.

    +1 on that one! I guess now would be a good time to buy all those things I’ve been lusting over but have had too much conversion-sticker-shock to actually buy.

    “as investors continued to shun the American dollar, which sank to a record low against the euro”

    Very good for yarn shopping from the US. Not so good to earn the money needed for the shopping…

    It’s like a crazy adventure, this currency thing. It makes my head spin. Just as I’m becoming quite passionate about shopping locally and connecting more to my community, I’m about to travel zig-zag style across the US for two months, I make my salary in a foreign currency, and I have family spread across the continent.

    This news reached me as I sit here in China. MY office called…my Canadian sales rep is whooping it up!!!

    Hmph — the US dollar continues to suck.
    I KNEW I should have visted Canada over the summer!!!
    {grin}
    Cheers from China!
