Sock Knitting

I’ve just signed up for a sock knitting class at Urban Yarns next Wednesday. It’ll be good to get out of the house to play with yarn – not for work. I can’t wait! DPNs be warned: I will master you, if it kills me.

I’ll have a full book recommendation wrap-up as soon as I can catch my breath. Such great suggestions!

In the meantime, here’s a project that’s finally made it to print a year after I sent it in. Congrats to Shannon on a great book (despite this dude’s inclusion in it)!

And now back to my regularly scheduled email catch-up, book proof proofing, general mayhem.

Sock knitting rocks! Sock yarn is the only yarn I stash because I know what I can do with it. Each sock is like a miniature work of art, and working with dpns is fun – it looks very impressive to the nonknitters of the world. Conquer and enjoy!

Yay! In other news, it’s Joss Whedon’s birthday today. FYI. Too bad the Vancouver event is sold out…
