I took yesterday off. It was my first proper day off in months and months. I also took off half of Thursday, but I used the luxury of my autoresponder and the handy psychological trick of vacation to get a bunch of work done. Yesterday I attempted retail therapy; it was fun, but not very therapeutic.
Which brings us to today. I spent an hour this morning drinking coffee and making a Babette square. I’ve just futzed around on Flickr. I’m soon going out to get my hair cut and dyed in preparation for my trip to Detroit on Monday. Another PBS show taping, kids. I will be spending much of the day tomorrow swatching in preparation. Mmm. Tunisian crochet.

I'm an astigmatic expat writer, editor, speaker, author of crochet books, blogger, crafter and founder of the Mighty Ugly project.
I love talking people into indulging their creativity and I sometimes help authors and crafters promote their work online and have fun while they do it. I write here about creative business, crafts, books, pop culture and generally about ideas that force their way out of my brain. Wanna talk about stuff? Don't hold back.
Good luck with the taping of the show. And be sure to let us see your new hair-do :).
And when you get to the taping of the show–whisper gently in their ear the idea of a loom knitting :)
Or spinning. That’d be good, too. ;)
